Raising money for London’s Air Ambulance

Hi, my names Jess and I’m raising money for the London Air Ambulance.

LAA deliver advanced trauma care pan London to the cities sickest patients. This is a vital charity as it delivers rapid emergency care to people who have often been in awful accidents. 

In the cycling community we unfortunately are at a higher risk of being involved in bad accidents and it’s because of this and people close to me that have needed to use LAA I want to raise money for them. You don’t think about needing to use the service until you’re forced to and as a charity they can’t run without donations.

Working for the London Ambulance Service means that I see the impact of their incredible work every day and I would be very grateful for any donation no matter how small.

The Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome (FHHV) is an inclusive club and welcomes people of all ages and ability. We are based at the historic, outdoor velodrome in Herne Hill. Our primary purpose is to support the Herne Hill Velodrome through raising and providing funds , organising social events and volunteering. We have over 400 members.

As you would expect the focus is track cycling but there is also is also plenty of participation on and off road. In the coming months we plan to introduce group rides.

We have a thriving social scene with plenty of opportunities to meet and hang out at Jan’s Café in the Herne Hill Velodrome Pavilion after sessions and at other events throughout the year. Everyone is welcome.
