I’m taking on an endurance challenge: riding 500km around Herne Hill Velodrome to raise £1,000 for Herne Hill Velodrome and St Elizabeth Hospice.
I’ve always loved endurance challenges. There’s something special about pushing yourself beyond what feels comfortable, finding your rhythm and keeping going, lap after lap, even when the finish line still feels a long way off. Riding 500km around a velodrome will certainly put that to the test!
But this challenge is about more than just the kilometres.
Herne Hill Velodrome is a special place with a rich cycling heritage, and I’m proud to be raising money to support it.
St Elizabeth Hospice is a cause much closer to my heart. The hospice has supported close friends of mine during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Having seen the difference that support can make, I wanted to do something to give back and help ensure that others can receive the same care when they need it most.
I’m hoping to raise £1,000, with donations supporting these two worthwhile causes. Every contribution, however big or small, will help make this challenge count for something beyond the ride itself.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful. And if you can’t, sharing this page with others would mean a great deal too.
Thank you for reading, and for supporting me as I take on 500km of laps, sore legs and determination for two causes that mean a lot to me.
500km. One velodrome. Two great causes. Let’s see how far we can go together!
